James P. Wheatman

       James Patrick Wheatman, 62, passed away October 8, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1963. James resided in Chesterton and went to Chesterton High School.

       He is preceded in death by sister Jodianne and son Jeremy. James is survived by his parents Linda (Shepard) Wheatman and James R. (Pamela) Wheatman, sister Courtney, niece Jenna, and wife Nancy.

       James retired from being an Operating Engineer with the Local 150. He has a Patent in plumbing with the USPTO.

       He was a good mushroom hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed artistic wood burning, making pottery and wood working.

       James was buried at Chesterton Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Jon Plavcan of St. Patrick's Parish.
