James Andrew Kieklak, age 84 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2021 in Chesterton. He was born on July 11, 1936 in Erie, PA and was the son of Andrew and Mary Kieklak, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving daughters: Nancy (Tim) Baadsgaard of Chesterton, IN, Mary Lynn (Scott) Yocum of Raleigh, NC, and Carol (Dave) Martin of Kansas City, MO; his treasured grandchildren: Christine (Ian) Baadsgaard, Rebecca (Corey) Donovan, Matt (Ana) Yocum, Nick Yocum, Maria Martin, Natalie Martin, and David Yocum; his treasured great-grandson, Teddy Donovan; and his brother, Michael (Dee) Kieklak.
He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille "Lou" Kieklak on May 5, 2019, and by his baby boy, Joseph.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, enjoyed the hobby of woodworking, and he loved golfing with his wife. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Road, Chesterton, IN, with Fr. Jon Plavcan officiating. Masks are mandatory inside the church. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St. Chesterton, IN. Masks are strongly recommended inside the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Jim may be given to Dunes Hospice, 4711 Evans Ave, Valparaiso, IN 46383 or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Road, Chesterton, IN 46304.
