Herbert "Herbie" W. Cox Jr.

       Herbert “Herbie” W. Cox Jr., age 67 of Portage, IN, passed away on December 27, 2022.  He was born on October 14, 1954 in Gary, IN to Herbert W. Cox Sr. and Winifred Cox, both of whom preceded him in death.
       On July 28, 1979, he married the love of his life, Irene (Milinovich) Cox, who survives in Portage, IN. He is also survived by his loving children, Herbert (Melissa) Cox III of Portage, IN and Jody Cox of Portage, IN; his grandchildren: Leia Cox, Jeffrey Anderson, and Russell Rambo; and by his sister, Shelly Turley.
       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Dawn Rambo and his sister, Jackie Walters.

       He was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 for 44 years. His hobbies included spending time with his family and friends, working on cars, riding his motorcycle, cruising in his vet, and his granddaughter Leia!
