Gloria J. (Loehrke) Frederici

Gloria Jean Frederici, age 82, of Chesterton, IN passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her home.  She was born on August 30, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Paul and Elizabeth (Gida) Loehrke, both of whom preceded her in death. Gloria married Edwin Frederici on June 23, 1951 in Chicago, IL.
Gloria is survived by her husband and six children, Diane Frederici, Sue (Seydou) Tshishiku, Joy (Greg) Gallagher, Beth (Brian) Braaksma, Dave (Maggie) Frederici, and Ed (Kim) Frederici.  Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Ben, Bena, Khadi, Emma and Harper.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Hazel, Virginia and June, as well as her brother, Ronald. Gloria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting and gardening.  She served as a Bible study leader, child care worker and in the women’s missionary group.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Bible Church,  824 N Calumet Avenue, Chesterton, IN with a visitation prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.   Burial will follow at the Chesterton Cemetery.The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton, IN, 219-926-1309. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Haven, 12501 Indiana 49  Wheatfield, IN 46392, a non-for-profit agency for at-risk youth.
