Gerald "Jerry" Cirak

       Gerald “Jerry” Cirak, age 57 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away unexpectedly on May 7, 2024 in Valparaiso, IN.  He was born on May 1, 1967 in Michigan City, IN to Richard Cirak, who preceded him in death, and Kathleen (Lee) Reiter, who survives in Kentland, IN.

       He is also survived by his loving sons, Logan Cirak of Valparaiso, IN and Hayden Cirak of Valparaiso, IN; his treasured grandson, Karter Cirak; his brothers, Steven (Judy) Cirak of Westville, IN, David (Bonnie) Cirak of Crown Point, IN, and Richard Cirak of Portage, IN; his nephews: Justin Cirak, Nathan Hansen, Scott Hansen, and Ryder Yates; and his nieces: Hailey Cirak, Kayla Cirak, Alyssa Tidwell, Ashlynn Yates, Jaden Yates, and Lindsey Cirak.

       Jerry was a proud member of Local 150.  He was a music enthusiast and was the guitarist in the local band, “Hoosier Daddy.” He also loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was the best dad and grandpa ever. Jerry was the most selfless and hardworking man in the world. He loved spending time with both of his sons and his grandson. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful grandfather, father, son, brother, and friend.

       Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 6 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
