Obituary

       Garrett Allan Jipping, age 38 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on June 16, 2023. He was born on September 18, 1984 in Valparaiso, IN to John and Laura (Mikenas) Jipping, both of whom preceded him in death. 

       He is survived by his sister, Lindsay (James) Trout of Chesterton, IN; nephew, Lucas Trout; niece, Leah Trout; his adopted family, The Leonard family, including  Whitney and Meadow Lynn; and by the wonderful ladies at the library.

       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Louis and Patricia Jipping; his maternal grandparents: Victor and Jeri Mikenas; and by his beloved son, Princeton Bishop Jipping. 

       Garrett was employed by Gelsosomo's Pizzeria. He loved baseball. He was a Jeopardy enthusiast and was proud of his knowledge. In his free time, he enjoyed playing the bass guitar and watching movies, especially the Star Wars movies. He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor and his enormous heart. 

       No services will be held at this time.
