F. Jean (Graham) Buckley

       F. Jean Buckley, age 92 of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 7, 1930 in Gary, IN to William A. and Florence (Nelson) Graham, both of whom preceded her in death.  On September 23, 1951, she married the love of her life, Paul Buckley, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2007, after 55 1/2 wonderful years of marriage. 

       She is survived by her loving children, Dr. William P. Buckley of Granger, IN and Rev. Wendy Buckley-Madsen (Rev. Tim Madsen) of Williamsville, NY; her treasured grandchildren: Rev. Eric Madsen (Dr. Janice Cheong) of Rochester, NY, John Madsen of Williamsville, NY, and William R. Marshall (Britney) of Odenton, MD; and her treasured great-grandson, Jackson Marshall. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Michelle Graham-Fischetti (Guy), Gwen Graham (Rob Kamai), Jaclynne Graham, Scott Graham (Ann), Rob Graham (Diane), Doug Graham (Jenny), Elyse Graham (Sonny Rose), and by Bette Price (late Bud).  

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, John W. Graham in 1973. 

       Jean was a faithful member of Augsburg Lutheran Church in Porter, IN. She was a proud council member, archivist, Sunday School teacher, and Eucharist Minister at the church. 

       A Graveside Service was held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Chesterton Cemetery.

       A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Augsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 N Mineral Springs Rd, Porter, IN with Rev. Erik Bernth officiating.

       Memorial donations may be given to the Burstrom Chapel for the roof fund.
