Everette C. Cales, age 90 of Porter, IN, passed away on November 23, 2020. He was born on July 27, 1930 in Hinton, West Virginia to Herbert Cales and Virgie Mae Cales, both of whom preceded him in death.
On November 13, 1954 in Nurnberg, Germany, he married the love of his life, Gertraud A. Cales, who survives.
He is also survived by his loving daughter, Barbara J. Cales; his adoring grandchildren: Danielle N. (Aaron) Cales and Charlotte M. (Bob) Baldwin, Susanne T. Cales; his treasured grandchildren: Olivia, Miles, and Penelope; and by his sister, Juanita Meadows.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Manfred H. Cales and by his brothers, Ivan Cales and Kenneth Cales.
Everette proudly served his country in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a Foreman for Republic Steel for 30 years. He loved hunting, fishing, target shooting, and playing the guitar.
A private Graveside Service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required at all times.
