Ernest Walter Brix Jr.

       Ernest Walter Brix Jr., age 79 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on June 10, 2024. He was born on May 1, 1945 in New York to Ernest Walter Sr. and Annina (Sorresse) Brix, both of whom preceded him in death. 
       He is survived by his loving children, Karl Andrew (Crystal) Brix of Phoenix, AZ and Amy (Matt) Glatthorn of Valparaiso, IN; his treasured grandchildren: Max and Alexandra Glatthorn and Waylon Brix; his siblings: Charlie Brix of Connecticut, Lori (Michael) Foran of Connecticut, Tori (Don) Mooney of California, and Diana Brix of Connecticut; and by his many nieces and nephews. 
       In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Annie) Brix on August 28, 2019, his beloved daughter Krista; and by his brothers, James and Paul. 
       Ernest was a member of Gideon International and Heartland Christian Center.  He was a strong man of God. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. 
       Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN, with Dr. Phillip Willingham officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. 

       In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to honor Ernest by accepting donations to The Sunshine Center of Heartland Christian Center. The planned construction of the Sunshine Center (a place to share the love of Jesus with those with disabilities) was of great importance to Ernest. 
       Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
