Edward H. Anderson

       Lifelong Chesterton resident, Edward H. Anderson, age 66, died peacefully at home due to natural causes on November 24, 2022.  He was born on December 27, 1955 in Valparaiso, IN to Edward Anderson, who preceded him in death and Margaret (Hojcus) Anderson, who survives in Chesterton, IN.

       He is also survived by his siblings, Judy (Chuck) Stewart of Valparaiso, IN and William Anderson of Chesterton, IN; and by his nephew, Chuck (Mary Ann) Stewart of Chicago, IL.

       Edward was a devoted caregiver to his parents and was a caring and loving son, brother, uncle and friend to all.

       He was a 1974 graduate of Chesterton High School, where he lettered in golf. During high school, he worked at Smedman’s Grocery Store.  He graduated from Purdue University in 1978 and taught Industrial Tech in the Michigan City Area Schools for 30 years. He also loved listening to music and working in his yard.  

       Private family services will be held.

       In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Ed may be given to Westchester Meals- St. John’s United Church: 225 W Lincoln Ave, Chesterton, IN 46304.
