Dylan “Bub” S. Heath

       Dylan S. Heath "Bub", age 30, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on June 28, 2026. He was born on September 1, 1995, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Dale and Tiffany (Ling) Heath, who survive in Westville, Indiana.

       On August 5, 2025, Dylan married the love of his life and best friend, Kara Barney, with whom he shared a life filled with love, laughter, and their three beloved dogs, Whiskey, Paisley, and Maximus.

       He is also survived by his sisters, Samantha (Bo) Baker-Kemp of LaPorte and Alyssa (Jacob) McCormick of Michigan City; his maternal grandparents, Tom and Jan Ling of Portage; his in-laws, Gerald (Gail) Barney of Chesterton and Karin Barney of Valparaiso; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers who loved him dearly.

       He was preceded in death by his close friend Craig “Alex” Tatum, aunt Tammy Gildemontes, and paternal grandparents.

       Dylan was known for being independent from the very beginning, he was determined and hardworking. Dylan worked at U.S. Steel  and was a proud union member of Local #1014.

       Outside of work, Dylan had a passion for cars. His Camaro was one of his greatest sources of pride, and some of his favorite memories were spent attending car shows with his dad. 

       He had a larger-than-life personality and a sense of humor that could brighten even the hardest days. Whether it was one of his perfectly timed jokes, playful sarcasm, or simply the unmistakable sound of his laugh, Dylan had a way of making everyone around him smile.

       Above all else, Dylan was a devoted husband, a loving son, brother, grandson, and dog dad, a loyal friend, and the kind of person who could make strangers feel like old friends within minutes. He will forever be missed by those who had the honor of knowing him. 

       A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
