Dorothy “Dot” (Agney) Woods

       Dorothy “Dot” Woods, age 84 of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2022. She was born on January 9, 1938 in Peoria, IL to Ed and Minnie (Whitesel) Agney, both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her children, Eddie Woods of Portage, IN and Penny (David) Kozinski of Porter, IN; her grandchildren: David (Tiffany) Kozinski, John (Crystal) Woods, Aaron Kozinski and Micheal (Courtney) Kozinski; her great-grandchildren: Alex, Elaina, Mack, River, Rowen, Remi, Dainen, and Cain; and by her siblings: James (Nancy) Agney, Wanda Dixon, and Ruth Naviss. 

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Fredrick Woods and by her sister, Gladys M. Nippe.

       Dot was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was also employed by the Visiting Nurses Association and McGills. She was very crafty and enjoyed making candies and quilts. She loved collecting cardinals. 

       Memorial donations may be given to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Building Fund: 2050 W 1100 N Chesterton, IN 46304. 

       A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Chesterton Cemetery.
