Derek Richmond Craig

       Derek Richmond Craig, age 36 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on January 5, 2022.  He was born on October 17, 1985 in Valparaiso, IN to Gary and Francine (Ablitt) Craig, both surviving in Chesterton.

       He is also survived by his sister, Robyn (David) Lamberth of Indianapolis; his nieces and nephew: Ivy Mae, Stella Gwen, Fiona, Violet, and Wyatt; his aunt and uncle in England, Gayle and Chris Ablitt; his many cousins; and by his many friends.

       He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

       Derek was an avid Blackhawks fan.  In his free time, he enjoyed disc golfing and hiking with friends and spending time with his three dogs.

       The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.  Masks are encouraged inside the funeral home.
