Delbert Loring Hall, age 74 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on October 14, 2023. He was born on October 28, 1948 in Michigan City, IN to Carl and Grace (Dutcher) Hall, both of whom preceded him in death.
On June 23, 1979 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, he married the love of his life, Susan (Anderson) Hall, who survives in Chesterton, IN.
He is also survived by his son, Michael (Melissa) Hall of Chesterton, IN; daughter, Amanda (Jacob) Huseman of Chesterton, IN; his sister, Carolyn (Hall) Beatson of New Carlisle, IN; his grandchildren: Riley Hall of Chesterton, IN, Hannah Hall of Chesterton, IN, and Ryan Huseman of Chesterton, IN; and by his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Judith Hall, and brothers-in-law, Roy Beatson and Anthony Renaldo.
Delbert was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was a 1966 graduate of Chesterton High School. He entered into the Marines immediately following graduation and enrolled in the Vietnamese language school.
He was very much a people person. Delbert had many different jobs and always said he never had a job that he couldn’t quit. He will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2050 W 1100 N, Chesterton, IN. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.
