Deborah Bloomingdale

       Deborah Bloomingdale, age 72 of Chesterton, IN, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on October 17, 1948 in Steubenville, OH to Bacel and Helen (Sheets) Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. 
       She is survived by her loving children: John Davey, David Davey, Suzanne Davey, and Shannon Bloomingdale, all of Chesterton, IN; her treasured grandchildren: Cheyenne Davey, Aaliyah Davey, Daesha French, and Destiny French; her twin brother, Dale (Irene) Moore of Hopedale, OH; her sister, Pamela (Tony) Bruce of Chesterton, IN; her adopted daughter, Kristie Cole and her family, of Valparaiso, IN; and by her many nieces and nephews. 
       She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald James Bloomingdale and by her brother, Dennis Moore.
       Deborah loved her family dearly, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Her calling in life was caring for others. She worked in home health care for individuals with developmental disabilities for many years.   Cooking and baking were some of her passions, and she always made sure that no one went hungry.  
       Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 12 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. 
       Memorial donations may be given to the family.
