David A. Jones

 David A. Jones, age 24 of Chesterton, passed away on December 9, 2017. He was born on September 25, 1993 in Valparaiso, IN to Craig and Rachael Jones, both surviving in Chesterton.

He is also survived by his siblings: Elisabeth (Chris) Ruge of Chesterton; Paul Jones of Chesterton, and Jason Jones of Chesterton; his niece, Shannon Ruge; his paternal grandparents, David and Dorothy Jones; his maternal grandmother, Bertha Page of Wisconsin; as well as many aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tom Page; his uncle, Nate Page, and his great-grandmother, Gladys Jones.

David attended the First Baptist (Open Bible) Church in Chesterton. He was also a student at Ivy Tech in Michigan City and worked at the VFW in Porter. David was also a ten-year member of 4H and loved hunting with his dad. He also loved sports, especially football, and he managed middle and high school basketball and football. Singing and line dancing, and writing country songs were some of his favorite hobbies.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10 a.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South Second Street, Chesterton with Pastor Larry Starett officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home.
