David A. Bonander, age 81, of Ogden Dunes, Indiana, passed away on March 20, 2023. He was born on November 12, 1941, in Chicago to Arnold and Edith (Hokanson) Bonander, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha (Bradshaw) Bonander of Ogden Dunes, Indiana; his children Cheryl (Brian) Kennedy of Chicago, Lynda (Daniel) Adamson of Chicago, and John D. Bonander of Cloverdale, Oregon; his grandchildren Emily Adamson, Benjamin Adamson, Joseph Adamson, Lucy Adamson, John L. Bonander, and Lily Kennedy; and by his sister, Margery (David) Lundquist of Mission Viejo, California.
In addition to his parents, David was also preceded in death by his brother, John V. Bonander.
David attended Liberty Bible Church. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Memorial Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Liberty Bible Church, 824 N. Calumet Ave., Chesterton, Indiana. A Graveside Service will be held at noon at Chesterton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, tribute gifts may be made in David’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
