Charles Irwin Samuelson

       Charles Irwin Samuelson, age 81 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away suddenly on February 16, 2021. He was born on November 24, 1939 in Michigan City, IN to Vernon and Anna (Purucker) Samuelson, both of whom preceded him in death.

       He is survived by his cousins: Eleanor Thompson of Surprise, AZ, Nina Blake of Plymouth, IN, James Johnson of Lebanon, TN, and Louise Stone of Fort Myers, FL.

       He was also preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

       Chuck was a lifelong Porter County resident. He was a 1957 graduate of Chesterton High School and was employed by NIPSCO for 41 years. He was also a longtime member of Augsburg Evangelical Lutheran Church.

       A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Chesterton Cemetery with Pastor Erik Bernth officiating. Masks and social distancing are mandatory at all times at the cemetery.
