Charles J. Frencl Jr., “Chuck,” age 67 of Porter, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015. He was born on November 29, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Charles J. Frencl Sr. and Lola Howard Frencl, both of whom preceded him in death. On March 10, 1970 in Wheeler, IN, he married Pamela Eberhardt-Frencl, who survives in Porter.
He is also survived by his children: Charles J. “Jim” Frencl III of Chesterton, Anthony “Tony” (Tonya) Frencl of Hebron and Melissa (Jason) Casbon of Valparaiso, and his seven grandchildren: Ashley, Alexandria, Anthony, Ian, Charles J. IV “C.J.,” Erin, and Gunnar.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, George Frencl on November 3, 2015.
Chuck worked as a repairman for a phone company for many years. He also enjoyed doing yard work. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served in the Marines for many years. He received a Purple Heart for his heroic efforts.
No services will be held at this time.
