Carolyn (Welch) Jimenez

       Carolyn Jimenez, age 76, of Chesterton, IN, passed away on December 13, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on August 3, 1949, in Greene County, PA, to James and Carolyn (Wilson) Welch, both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her loving children: Daniel (Erica Donohue) Jimenez of Chesterton, James Trinidad Jimenez of Chesterton, and Lisa McMannes of Chesterton; her treasured grandchildren: Kathleen McMannes (Albert Evans), Jennifer McMannes (Denzell Riley), Mya Bailey, Dainen Jimenez, and Angelisa Jimenez; her great-grandchildren: Grayson Dumas, Harmony Riley, and Ariya Riley; and her special nephew and his family, Clinton Tiffany and Ian Urbanek.

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Jimenez; her beloved daughter, Laurie McMannes; her sister, Linda Urbanek; and by her brother, Robert Welch.

       Throughout her many years, Carolyn had many occupations, including being the regional manager for Denny’s restaurant chain throughout Northwest Indiana. She was also active in real estate and was the proud business owner of her own quilting company.

       She will forever be remembered as a beautiful, intelligent, resourceful woman.

       She was an endless loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, who made those whose lives she touched much stronger.

       A private family service will be held.
