Carmen R. (Bordon) Emerick

       Carmen R. Emerick, age 97 of Michigan City, IN, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024. She was born on September 26, 1926 in Trieste, Italy to Guiseppi and Francesca (Miani) Bordon, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       On October 28, 1948, she married the love of her life, Robert Weeks Emerick, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2011. 

       She is survived by her loving sons, Robert Joseph (Bobbie) Emerick of Chesterton, IN and Kenneth Steven (Christine) Emerick of Los Gatos, CA; her grandchildren: Daniel and Sarah; great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Philip, and Patrick; her great-great grandchildren: Holden, Levi, and Lennon Jane; and by her many nieces and nephews. 

       In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Robert; and by her siblings: Giordano, Silavana, and Mario. 

       Carmen loved knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was also an incredible cook. 

       A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
