Betty C. (Kosinski) Miller

       Betty C. Miller, age 87 of Chesterton, IN, passed away on September 4, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 27, 1934 in Denham, IN to Lawrence and Pearl (Pucki) Kosinski, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       On April 7, 1956 in East Chicago, IN, she married the love of her life, John Miller, who survives in Chesterton. She is also survived by her loving children: Sharon (Daniel) Millington of Delaware, Leonard Miller of Porter, IN, Michelle (Keith) Janosky of Chesterton, IN, and Stephen Miller of Chesterton, IN; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Lloyd and John Miller; her great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Macey, Sophia, and Colton; and by her step-grandchildren. 

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings: Edward Kosinski, Harry Kosinski, and Leonard Kosinski. 

       Betty was a devoted member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chesterton. Some of her favorite hobbies included crossword puzzles, sewing, cooking, baking, crocheting, and shopping. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings during the holidays, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

       Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 638 N Calumet Road, Chesterton, IN with Fr. Jon Plavcan officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. 

       Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
