Betty Ruth (Nicholson) Lindenmeyer

       Betty Ruth Lindenmeyer, age 77 of Furnessville, IN, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2022.  She was born on December 10, 1944 in Valparaiso, IN to Edwin R. and Ruth M. (Edquist) Nicholson, both of whom preceded her in death.  

       On April 2, 1966 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, she married the love of her life, John “Jack” Carl Lindenmeyer Jr., who survives in Furnessville, IN.  She is also survived by her loving daughters, Julia (Steven) Waltz of Furnessville, IN and Susan (Maurice) Del Rosario of Grovetown, GA; her treasured grandchildren: Nathan (Rosie) Waltz of Chicago, IL, Timothy Oberlie, Nicole Oberlie, Kaitlyn (Nathan) Hess, Jaime Del Rosario, and Emily Del Rosario; her treasured great-grandchild, Lincoln Hess; her siblings: Robert (Paula) Nicholson, Christine Tressler, and Dorothy (Jeri) Kasten; and by her six nieces and nephews.

       In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Amy Lindenmeyer; her brother, Richard Nicolson, her two nephews, and a niece.

       Betty was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was a member of WELCA and multiple choirs. She was also active in Meals on Wheels, several bowling leagues, and the Indiana Association of Realtors.  She was a proud 4-H member, mom, and volunteer. One of her favorite roles in life was being a grandma and great-grandma.  She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to make baked goods, especially Swedish pancakes.

       Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2050 W 1100 N, Chesterton, IN, with Pastor Ruth Popkin officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12 p.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Furnessville Cemetery.

       The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.
