Arlene R. (Lawbaugh) Barnes

       Arlene R. Barnes, age 81 of Porter, IN, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022. She was born on November 1, 1941 in Lake Village, IN to Victor and Dorothy LaGuire Lawbaugh, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       She is survived by her loving children: Harold (Barb) Barnes Jr. of Koontz Lake, IN, Cecilia Barnes of Porter, IN, Kevin Barnes of South Carolina, Michael (Shelly) Barnes of Michigan City, IN, Carrie (Jake) Shear of LaPorte, IN, and Clayton (Rachel) Barnes of California; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and by her siblings: Juanita Chnupa, Harry Lawbaugh, and Ramona Lawbaugh. 

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold in 1996; and by her brother, Louis Lawbaugh.

       Arlene loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, Peppie. 

       The family will receive friends on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 5 p.m until 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN.
