Alma (Solley) Rabe

       Alma Rabe, age 74 of Westville, IN, passed away on January 6, 2023. She was born on November 16, 1948 in Alabama, to VT and Pauline (Lamberth) Solley, both of whom preceded her in death. 

       She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Rabe of Westville, IN; daughters: Christina (Christopher) Fleming of Porter, IN and Tina Rabe of Valparaiso, IN; her grandchildren: Anne (Evelyn) Schuster of Chicago, IL, Katie Duley of Porter, IN, Samuel (Ava) Duley of Valparaiso, IN, Alexander (Mary) Duley of Hobart, IN, Austin Moss of Porter, IN, and Allyson Moss of Gainsville, FL; her great-grandchildren: Elisabeth, Margaret, Winifred, Emory, and Jacob; and by her siblings: Margaret “Becky” Weiandt of Valparaiso, IN, Cheryl Wilson of Florida, John Solley of Michigan City, IN, and Delinda Taylor of Chesterton, IN.

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters: Jane, Evelyn, Sharon, and Laura; and by her brother, Daniel.

       Alma enjoyed spending time at her trailer at Duck Lake in Michigan. She loved sewing and embroidering and was also a member of the car club.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
