Harriett T. (Quick) Thoesen

       Harriett T. Thoesen, age 93 of Portage, IN, passed away on February 4, 2024. She was born on June 21, 1930 in Gary, IN to Harry and Gladys Quick, both of whom preceded her in death.

       She is survived by her loving children: Randy (Teri) Thoesen of New Mexico, Cindy (Russ) Huneryager of Porter, IN, and Becky (Dan) Mahoney of Chesterton, IN; her loving grandchildren: Christopher, Andrew, Conor, Chris, Laura, and Jimmy; and by her great-grandchildren: Connor, Casey, Osiris, Aurelia, Jordan, Mara, Lily, Riley, and Noah.

       In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Thoesen on July 10, 1999, and by her beloved granddaughter, Sabrina in 2015.

       Harriett went to the Bonner Senior Center every week Monday-Friday and especially loved participating in the dancing twice a week. She also enjoyed going on bus trips and participating in excursions. 

       The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S 2nd St., Chesterton, IN. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
