Peggy Lee Dickey, age 57 of Chesterton passed away on May 27, 2016.  She was born on October 2, 1958 in Youngstown, OH to Leighton and Shirley Breedlove, both surviving in Austin Town, OH.  On June 23, 2000 in Chesterton, IN she married Cary Dickey, who survives in Chesterton. 

She is also survived by her son, Stephen Alan of Chesterton; her sister, Patty (Lee) Simeon of Poland, OH; her brother, Dale (Beth) Breedlove of Hudson, FL; and by her nieces and nephews: Anna Simeon, Lee Simeon Jr., Tracy Breedlove and Dominick Breedlove. 

Peggy was a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church.  She accepted Christ as her Savior and served Him faithfully for forty years.  Her life verse was Psalm 27:1: The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

She also loved being a mother and wife. Peggy’s favorite hobbies included gardening, spoiling her cat, Kermit, and enjoying fellowship with friends of Fairhaven Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Fairhaven Baptist Church, 86 E Oak Hill Rd, Chesterton, IN 46304, with Pastor Steve Damron officiating.  Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be given to the “Jolly Sixties” of Fairhaven.  Arrangements are under the direction of White-Love Funeral Home. just want to let you know that we loved Peggy & thought the world of her. we admired the way she didn't let difficult situations keep her from moving on with her life & serving the Lord.
she will never be forgotten & will always be remembered for her thriving spirit setting an example for others to follow.

Aunt Shirley, Uncle Lee, Dale, Patty, Carey, and Steven, My deepest condolences, Love, thoughts and Prayers are most certainly with you and the rest of your family members. Peggy was always near and dear to my heart, though the miles and a busy life had separated us my thoughts of her were never very far. Memories are forever in our minds and hearts, She has gained her angel wings and will walk beside and watch over all her loved ones.
