Betty M. Dickinson 89, of Chesterton, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2015.

She was born June 24, 1925 in Edinburg, Indiana, the daughter of George R. Bridges and Grace Huff Bridges. She married Harold E. Williams, who was a casualty of WWII, and later married William O. Dickinson, all of whom preceded her in death.

Other family who have preceded her in death are five brothers, a sister, and most recently her great-grandson, Logan Wright.

One brother William L. Bridges of Franklin, IN survives. Betty was the mother of three children: Carolyn (Peter) Kessler of Lake Wales, FL, Linda S. (Duane) Clouse of Chesterton, and Ray F. Dickinson, also of Chesterton. She had five grandchildren: James Kessler of Atlanta, GA, Ryan (Amy) Wright of Indianapolis, Peter (Kasey) Kessler Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Kristen Pritchett of Chesterton, and Tracy (Jeff) Miller of Burns Harbor. Her family also included nine great-grandchildren: Brieanne Karriman, Logan Wright, Justin Wright, Kayla Karriman, Megan Wright, Ethan Kessler, Brandon Pritchett, Emily Pritchett, and Garrett Oberle.

She was most recently associated with New Life Wesleyan Church of Chesterton. Her favorite past times in earlier years included flower arranging, sewing and socializing with her close friends.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 7, from 5-8 p.m., and Friday, May 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 S. 2nd St., Chesterton, followed by a graveside service with Pastor Allen Wright officiating, at Chesterton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
