Louis “Louie” J. DeFelice, age 67 of Chesterton, passed away on November 25, 2014 in Valparaiso.  He was born on September 24, 1947 in Gary, IN to Armand and Norma Pickrell-DeFelice, both of whom preceded him in death.   Louie is survived by his children: Melissa (Robert) Klaiber of Valparaiso, Louis (Elizabeth) DeFelice of Union Mills, Joe (Amanda) DeFelice of Valparaiso and Samantha DeFelice of Chesterton, as well as grandchildren: Timothy, Brooke, Abbie, Alysa, Corina, Lilly and Anna. His siblings: Armand DeFelice of LaGrange, IN, Vera (Tom) Nicholson of Chesterton and Ray DeFelice of Michigan City, along with many nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his sister, Dede Gilbert. 

Louie enjoyed cars and attended Fairhaven Baptist Church in Chesterton.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 7 p.m. at White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd St., Chesterton, with Dean Leslie officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Dearest Brother,we have spoken all of the words,felt all of the pain and suffering in this life< I know you are in heaven where there is no more pain for you or suffering. I can only be thankful for that. I will miss you more than words can say Louie,you are in my heart forever and ever!
