Barbara Robinson, age 75 of Chesterton, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her home.  She was born on March 19, 1938 in Kuttawa, Kentucky to George and Kathryn Brasher Waters, both of whom preceded her in death.  On April 5, 1958 in Kuttawa,Kentucky she married Carl Robinson who survives in Chesterton.  Also surviving are her daughters Sherry (Dan) Chumbley of Chesterton, Pam Robinson of Griffith and Karla Kroncke of Chesterton, grandchildren Danielle Chumbley, Noelle (Chris) Currie, Janelle (Nick) Haas, Rachelle Chumbley, Samuel (Alyssa) Chumbley, Gabrielle (Ryan) Paarlberg, Peter (Robyn) Pinkowski, Julie (Matt) Emslie, Nick Pinkowski, Jill Pinkowski and Amber Kroncke and seven great-grandchildren.  Also, her siblings Marie O’Daniel of Kentucky, Ruby (Ray) Belt of Kentucky and Leon (Thelma) Waters of Tell City, IN are surviving.

Barbara was preceded in death by her siblings Velma and Harold.  Barbara was a member of Liberty Bible Church where she was on the Benevolent Committee, both a leader and on the board of the Ladies Bible Study and was very active with the missions. She was a collector of Precious Moments and angels.  She enjoyed quilting, scrap booking and making her own cards.  Her favorite hobbies were her friends and family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Liberty Bible Church, 824 North Calumet Road, Chesterton. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery.      
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton.  
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and Youth for Christ, 55 Chicago St, Valparaiso, IN, 46356.

Sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. I graduated with her at Lyon County High School in May, 1955. I missed the last class reunion.
