Stanley Misiuk passed away at Addison Pointe Health and Rehabilitation facility in Chesterton, Indiana on April 17, 2024. He was born to Stanley and Faye Misiuk on October 22, 1948, in Boston, MA.
He was preceded in death by his father Stanley Misiuk, mother Faye Misiuk, and Elizabeth (Libby) Huff - a very special aunt who was like a second mother.
He is survived by his brother Bob Misiuk (Judy), nieces Laura Threatt (Andrew) of Richmond, TX, Lisa Schafer (Kyle) of West Chester, OH; great nephew Ryan Threatt, and great nieces Rachel Threatt, Evie Schafer, and Libby Schafer.
Stanley attended Natick High School, in Natick, MA, and graduated in 1966. He also attended Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN and graduated with a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering. While at Purdue he was a member of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity. After graduating, he had a few jobs before deciding to pursue his lifelong dream of flying. He joined the Marines and served with the United States Marine Corps Aviation (USMCA) unit where he was a bomber/navigator on an A-6 Intruder.
After leaving the Marines he landed many other interesting jobs in his life such as an actor playing small parts in big movies, a Breckenridge ski instructor in Colorado, US mail carrier, and ended his career working as an Assistant Regional Deputy Director in the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve office of the Department of Defense.
Memorial donations in honor of Stanley may be given to the Mission MSA Home - Mission MSA A multiple Systems Atrophy foundation: 29924 Jefferson Avenue, Saint Clair Shores, Michigan 48082.
